Recruitment Policy Statement
In order to ensure that the recruitment of young people into our Group is open and consistent, we will adhere to the 1st Englefield Green Scout Group Recruitment Policy This will be used in the event of the Group having more applicants than spaces available in any one Section. Leaders should also liaise with the Section above them to ensure the smooth progression of young people through the Group.
Parents/guardians who wish to put their child’s name on a waiting list will be made fully aware of this policy, and will be given a copy at the time of application. They will be kept informed as to the likelihood of a place becoming available within an appropriate time.
Alternative Scout Group details will be offered to applicants in the event of a place not being immediately available, along with the name and contact details of the District Commissioner for Runnymede District Scouting.
